Press Release
Twelve teams took part in the first Bishop’s Stortford
Breakfast Club (BSBC) Pub Games Night at St Clare Hospice
on January 27th.
St Clare Chief Executive, Brian Hilton, said “The
evening gave us the opportunity to meet in an informal setting
- it was designed to extend the networking opportunities
which our monthly meetings give BSBC members”
Each team took part in the six games – Bar Skittles,
Carpet Bowls, Darts, Dominoes, Shove Ha’penny and a
fiendishly difficult quiz.
Competition was fierce and, at the end of the evening, Price
Bailey narrowly beat a team from Insight Associates and they
were presented with the CopyZone Archiving Pub Games trophy.
BSBC Chairman, Garry Mumford said “We are indebted
to St Clare Hospice for making their Hall available for the
evening and also to their staff who acted as referees and
also provided a delicious buffet. I was also delighted that,
in return, we were able to raise over £200 for the
Hospice”
It is hoped that the event will become a regular item in
the BSBC calendar.
