Press Release
Making space, saving time
St Clare Hospice have recently worked with a local
company – Copyzone
Archiving Ltd – to free up a large amount of storage
space for patient records.
Over 37, 000 pages of financial papers and manuals were
scanned to CD-ROM and then confidentially shredded. This
represents about 8 filing cabinets (or a small room full
of paper).
Staff at the Hospice can now access any page from personal
computers. They also have the satisfaction of knowing that
they will never lose a file (duplicate copies are stored
safely by Copyzone).
St Clare Chief Executive, Brian Hilton says “As a
well-run charitable organisation we are aware of our statutory
responsibility to retain records. We were not prepared to
spend charitable money in creating more storage space. Copyzone’s
work has meant that we can now optimise our existing storage
space and use it for its prime purpose – patient records".
Copyzone MD, John Barfoot, says “We welcomed the opportunity
to work with our local Hospice to provide a much-needed service
at an extremely competitive rate.
